The Allhoffs invited us over for appetizers and drinks and then 10 of us set out singing up and down our street. We really didn't have many people come to the door which totally surprised me but something Danny said made me happy. He said, that even if we didn't see them, there were probably many people standing behind their doors smiling. I hope so! I know my family enjoyed the heck out of it and if we organized it better next year and started earlier I think we'd have a much better reception. Danny is pushing to do it again next Saturday but with Cooper's party on Sunday I really don't think I'm going to have time to get everything together for a repeat. I wish we didn't have to squeeze everything into a few weeks a year. Maybe we should start a new tradition ...Patriotic caroling on the 4th??
